A heatwave is expected to persist next week, with temperatures potentially reaching 40-41°C, especially in the west of the country. Elena Mateescu from the National Meteorological Administration indicated that a red heat alert may be issued soon. The heat will intensify, with maximum temperatures around 38°C and tropical nights in the western regions. A yellow alert will cover the southwest, center, and north, with temperatures between 33-37°C. The heatwave could peak on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with values possibly exceeding 40°C. The area under orange alert may expand, and a red alert is likely as temperatures approach record highs.
