The National Museum of Romanian History announced the restoration process of the Coțofenești helmet, recovered after a theft. Romania received €5.7 million in insurance for the stolen helmet, which will be returned after restoration costs are determined. The restoration process includes detailed imaging and non-invasive physical-chemical analyses, conducted in collaboration with experts. A conservation-restoration strategy has been developed, and the National Commission of Museums has approved the restoration process, which will begin soon.
