The modernization of the railway between Cluj-Napoca and Oradea is set to be completed by 2027, with significant progress reported on all four lots of the project. State Secretary Horațiu Cosma announced that over 70% of the track installation is done on the first two lots, while work continues on electrification and station upgrades. The project aims to meet European milestones by August 31, attracting around 2 billion euros for Romania. The goal remains to reopen the railway sections by 2027, with full project delivery expected by 2028.
