Când ar putea fi repornită centrala de la Cernavodă. Anunțul directorului tehnic al Nuclearelectrica
This summer's severe drought has highlighted the vulnerabilities in Romania's energy system, particularly affecting the Cernavodă nuclear plant and hydroelectric production. A national debate organized by Antena 3 CNN brought together decision-makers and energy experts to discuss climate change and its impact on energy security. Cristian Bușoi from the Ministry of Energy emphasized the need for investments and grants to enhance system resilience. Meanwhile, Emil Macovei from Nuclearelectrica clarified that the plant is not in conservation but in operational status, conducting maintenance during the shutdown. However, he noted that the plant is unlikely to restart within the next ten days due to low water levels in the Danube.
