Designated Prime Minister Siegfried Mureșan is finalizing the government program and minister list, to be submitted to Parliament by the end of the week. Discussions with UDMR and minority representatives focused on modernization, public finance, and Romania's role in the EU and NATO. The government aims to start working on the 2027 budget and necessary economic measures soon. Mureșan was appointed by President Nicușor Dan and must secure parliamentary approval for his cabinet.
