The first driving school in Romania was established in 1910 in Bucharest by the Romanian Automobile Club. Initially, the driving test included a peculiar theoretical section titled 'Killing People'. Candidates had to be at least 18 years old, in good health, and present a certificate of good conduct. The school offered both theoretical and practical training, with the first instructor being Gheorghe Simion. The establishment of the school coincided with the introduction of specific regulations for road traffic and driving exams, ensuring a formal evaluation process.
