Cancelarul Merz a cerut ca Ucraina să primească mai mulţi bani din partea UE

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has called for increased EU financial support for Ukraine during a meeting in Brussels. He emphasized the need for sustainable assistance to help Ukraine through the winter and into the next year. While the current EU budget for Ukraine is fully allocated, Ukraine's finance minister has indicated a need for an additional $30 billion for the next year's budget and €40 billion for military expenses. Merz opposed the idea of transferring frozen Russian assets to the U.S. for peace negotiations, insisting that these assets should remain in Europe. He highlighted the ongoing Russian attacks on Ukraine as a threat to European political order.
