Canada vrea să se alăture împrumutului UE de 90 mld. euro pentru Ucraina
Canada is interested in joining the EU's €90 billion support loan for Ukraine, allowing the purchase of defense equipment from Canadian companies without EU origin requirements. The European Commission confirmed ongoing technical discussions with Canada. This loan aims to cover two-thirds of Ukraine's financial and military needs for 2026 and 2027, with the EU already disbursing nearly €15 billion. A new payment of €3.3 billion for defense acquisitions was announced. If Canada joins, it will share interest costs based on the benefits to Canadian companies. The EU emphasizes the importance of more countries participating to ensure Ukraine receives suitable defense equipment.
