Canada autorizează un studiu clinic pentru un vaccin contra Ebola produs de Moderna

Canada has approved Moderna to start a clinical trial for an Ebola vaccine targeting the Bundibugyo strain. The phase I study will assess the vaccine's safety, dosage, and side effects. Healthy participants will receive the vaccine to evaluate antibody production. No Ebola cases have been reported in Canada, and the country has restricted entry for travelers from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Currently, there is no vaccine or treatment for the Bundibugyo variant, which has caused an ongoing outbreak in the DRC. Other vaccine candidates are also being developed, including one by Hilleman Laboratories and another by the University of Oxford.
