The Ilfov County Animal Protection Directorate, in partnership with the Susy Utzinger Foundation from Switzerland, is launching a free sterilization campaign for cats. This initiative will allow 300 cats to be sterilized in Mogoșoaia, Jilava, and Domnești this fall. The sterilizations are scheduled for September 21-22 in Mogoșoaia, September 29-30 in Jilava, and October 1-2 in Domnești. The campaign aims to combat animal abandonment and promote empathy towards life. Susy Utzinger emphasizes that preventing unwanted litters is crucial for reducing the number of stray animals. Over the past years, nearly 20,000 animals have been sterilized for free in Ilfov, and the foundation has conducted over 100,000 sterilizations in Romania, significantly alleviating animal suffering.
