The fourth campaign to locate the mass graves of victims executed by the Securitate in March 1950 has concluded without success. Researchers continue their efforts to find the remains of political prisoners executed extrajudicially during the communist regime. They are appealing to locals for information that could aid in the investigation. Historical documents indicate that the victims were political detainees from Dobrogea involved in anti-communist resistance. The research, led by historian Gheorghe Petrov, aims to clarify the circumstances surrounding the burial sites and recover the memory of the victims. Previous campaigns since 2014 have not identified the graves, and any testimonies or information from the community are crucial for ongoing investigations.
