The IRES survey for ABS indicates a drop in the well-being index from 6.4 to 6.2 out of 10. About 55% of respondents report decreased well-being, while only 16% see improvement. Financial satisfaction has notably decreased, with personal income satisfaction falling from 6.1 to 5.5 points. Approximately 60% cite low incomes and high prices as major obstacles to a better life. The perception of life quality has worsened significantly compared to the previous year, with 32% reporting a decline. The study highlights the impact of financial pressure on well-being perceptions.
