Călin Georgescu, scos din arest și dus din nou la DIICOT: noi percheziții informatice

The DIICOT investigation into a fraud case involving over one million euros continues with new accusations from the Georgescu family. Călin Georgescu, currently in preventive detention, was brought to DIICOT for a computer search. His wife, Cristela Georgescu, has also been appearing at DIICOT, claiming their family is a victim of political persecution. She criticized the investigators' methods, describing them as brutal and traumatic. The investigation began after businessman Răzvan Leu filed a complaint, alleging he was defrauded by Călin Georgescu, who promised a six million euro credit line in exchange for a one million euro guarantee. The funds were reportedly misappropriated, with part intended for Georgescu's electoral campaign. The investigation includes analyzing data from seized devices to clarify financial transactions and relationships involved in the case. Călin Georgescu maintains his presumption of innocence until proven guilty.
