Călin Georgescu was detained by DIICOT while heading to swim, as his residence is being searched in connection with a fraud case involving 1.1 million euros. The investigation includes charges of organized crime and fraud, with searches conducted at five locations in Mogoșoaia, Ciolpani, Buftea, and Bucharest. Two Romanian citizens and one Italian national are also implicated in the case.
