Călin Georgescu, currently in preventive detention for fraud, shared a message of gratitude with his supporters on Facebook. He expressed his appreciation for their love and support. His detention follows a complaint from businessman Răzvan Leu, who claims to have lost 1.1 million euros due to a fraudulent business scheme involving precious metals. Prosecutors have seized several of Georgescu's bank accounts and his villa in Mogoșoaia. The investigation revealed that Leu was misled into paying a guarantee for a loan that never materialized, leading to his financial loss. Georgescu is also facing charges in two other criminal cases.
