He was detained following a complaint from businessman Răzvan Leu, who claims to have lost 1.1 million euros in a failed investment scheme. Georgescu and his alleged accomplice, Ionel Rusen, are set to be presented to the Bucharest Tribunal for a preventive arrest proposal. During searches at Georgescu's residence, authorities found various incriminating items, including a jamming device and documents suspected to be false. If convicted, Georgescu could face significant prison time for the charges against him.
