Calin Georgescu led out of DIICOT headquarters in handcuffs

Calin Georgescu, a former presidential candidate, was arrested for alleged fraud involving 1.1 million euros. He and accomplice Ionel Rusen face charges of forming a criminal group and fraud. Evidence seized includes jamming devices and suspected forged documents. The investigation began after businessman Razvan Leu filed a complaint, claiming he lost money in a failed loan scheme proposed by Georgescu. Leu had been promised a 6 million euro loan but was defrauded instead. Both men will appear in court for a pre-trial detention request.
