Călin Georgescu, arestat preventiv pentru 30 de zile. Decizia este definitivă

The Bucharest Court of Appeal has approved the DIICOT prosecutors' appeal against the release of Călin Georgescu, ordering his preventive arrest for 30 days. Alongside Georgescu, businessman Ionel Rusen was also ordered to be detained. The decision is final. Georgescu was previously placed under judicial control after being investigated for forming an organized criminal group and serious fraud. The case began following a complaint from businessman Răzvan Leu, who claims to have been defrauded of 1.1 million euros in a failed credit transaction involving precious metals. Prosecutors allege that part of the funds was intended for Georgescu's electoral campaign. After the initial release, prosecutors placed a lien on Georgescu's villa to recover the damages.
