Călin Georgescu left the Bucharest Tribunal after a judge denied the DIICOT's request for his preventive arrest. He is accused of defrauding a businessman of 1.1 million euros. The judge placed him under judicial control for 60 days, allowing his immediate release. Upon exiting the court, he was greeted by hundreds of supporters. Georgescu later visited the Central Arrest for procedural matters. The investigation began following a complaint from businessman Răzvan Leu, who claims to have lost one million euros.
