Călin Georgescu a fost eliberat din arest

Călin Georgescu was released under judicial control after the Bucharest Tribunal's decision in a new DIICOT case involving fraud and organized crime. The investigation, initiated by businessman Răzvan Leu, concerns a loss of approximately 1.1 million euros. Upon his release, Georgescu was greeted by around 300 supporters. The case includes allegations of misleading Leu regarding a business deal involving precious metals and a fraudulent loan process. During searches at Georgescu's home, investigators found a questionable diplomatic ID and a jamming device. This is Georgescu's third criminal case, with previous charges related to promoting extremist ideologies and destabilization efforts in Romania.
