Calendarul zilei 28 septembrie: Sf. Cuvios Hariton Mărturisitorul

On September 28, the Orthodox Church commemorates Saint Hariton the Confessor, who lived during Emperor Aurelian's reign. He endured severe torture for his Christian faith. After Aurelian's death, he was released from prison but was later attacked by robbers. A miraculous event involving a snake led to the robbers' demise, allowing Hariton to convert their cave into a church and build a monastery with the found gold. He lived to an old age before passing away.
