Saint Euphrosyne, daughter of a wealthy Christian from Alexandria, disappeared at 18, later becoming a nun. After 33 years, her father Pafnuty found her before his death. Pafnuty, a former pagan, became a monk and bishop after meeting a priest. Saint Sergius of Radonezh, born in Rostov, distributed his wealth to the poor and founded a monastery. He became a bishop and had a vision of the Virgin Mary before his death at 78.
