Calendarul zilei 19 septembrie: Sfinții Mucenici Trofim, Savatie și Dorimedont

The three saints, Trofim, Savatie, and Dorimedont, lived during the reign of Emperor Probus in Rome, facing persecution for their Christian faith. They refused to participate in pagan celebrations, leading to their arrest by the governor Eliodor. Trofim was brutally tortured, while Savatie was executed after enduring severe torment. Dorimedont, who secretly helped fellow Christians, was also captured and tortured. Ultimately, both Trofim and Dorimedont were sentenced to death by wild animals, but the animals did not harm them. They were then beheaded, joining Savatie in heaven, where they glorify the Holy Trinity.
