Calea ferată Brașov – Sighișoara: lucrările au ajuns la 61%

The rehabilitation project of the Brașov – Sighișoara railway section is 61% complete, aiming to modernize 112 km of railway for speeds up to 160 km/h. The project includes significant works on tunnels, bridges, and electronic signaling systems to meet European standards. The contract value is 3.75 billion lei, with construction starting in April 2020. Key tunnels include Ormeniș and Homorod, with excavation nearing completion. Arcada Company is involved in the RailWorks association for the Apața – Cața section, valued at 3.36 billion lei, which began in November 2020.
