Maintenance work has been conducted to address water infiltration issues. The project is part of the rehabilitation of the Brașov - Simeria railway line, aiming for a maximum speed of 160 km/h. The physical progress of the Apața - Cața section, which includes the tunnels, stands at 60.27%, with completion expected by February 2028.
