Cars classified as Euro 3 or older will pay 330 lei annually, while Euro 4 and Euro 5 vehicles will incur fees of 292 lei. Euro 6 cars will cost 254 lei, and electric vehicles will have the lowest fee at 228 lei. Vehicles without a clear pollution standard will be categorized as Euro 0, which carries the highest charge. This change affects a significant number of vehicles, particularly in Bucharest and Ilfov, where many are considered old and polluting.
