Buzoianu: No ANAR inspector will ever answer to a director trying to persuade them to overlook environmental issues

The Romanian Environment Minister announced a reorganization of the National Administration "Romanian Waters" to prevent local pressure on inspectors. Inspection functions will be moved to the national level to eliminate conflicts of interest and ensure environmental compliance. Inspectors will no longer need to disclose inspection locations or face pressure from local authorities.
