Buşoi: "România se pregăteşte pentru vârfuri de consum de 7.000 MW. Situaţia este sub control"

Cristian Buşoi announced that Romania is preparing for electricity consumption peaks of 7,000 MW, ensuring maximum production capacity, especially from gas. He stated that the country can purchase necessary energy and there are no plans to limit industrial consumers. The situation remains under control despite challenges from drought affecting nuclear reactor operations. Buşoi emphasized the importance of local production and the availability of electricity in the regional market, noting that Romania does not need emergency cross-border assistance. A list of major energy consumers has been created for potential future limitations, with notifications provided 24 hours in advance.
