Bușoi: „Nu avem motive” să cerem ajutor de urgență de la UE. Cum se descurcă România după oprirea reactoarelor de la Cernavodă
Romania is currently managing its energy system effectively despite the shutdown of Cernavoda reactors, relying on various production sources. Cristian Busoi, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Energy, highlighted the importance of gas and coal production, as well as solar energy during the day. The country is importing electricity from the regional market to meet peak demands, with Bulgaria being a key supplier. Although the situation is under control, high import costs may impact consumer bills in the future. The Cernavoda reactors are offline due to low Danube water levels, and authorities are cautiously managing hydro reserves. The restart of Unit 4 at Rovinari aims to mitigate import pressures, while potential price increases for electricity bills are anticipated in the coming months.
