Bușoi: Grupul 4 Rovinari intră în funcțiune. România estimează un vârf de consum de aproape 7.000 MW

Group 4 at Rovinari will restart to add nearly 300 MW to Romania's energy system amid rising consumption forecasts. The Ministry of Energy anticipates peak demand close to 7,000 MW due to high temperatures and reduced output from Cernavodă reactors. The decision aims to decrease electricity imports during peak hours. Weekend consumption remained below 6,000 MW, supported by wind and solar energy, although solar output is less effective during evening peaks. Consumers have reduced demand during peak hours, and coal stocks for Rovinari are sufficient for the week. Cernavodă remains offline due to low Danube water levels, complicating the energy situation.
