The Romanian government has approved a resolution establishing the scholarship amounts for the 2026-2027 school year, ensuring social scholarships are available year-round, including during vacations. Merit and technological scholarships will be awarded during school terms and specific exam preparation periods. The merit scholarship is set at 450 lei per month, while social and technological scholarships are 300 lei each. A special 700 lei scholarship is available for underage mothers returning to school. The resolution aims to support disadvantaged students and encourage participation in vocational education. Additional scholarships can be provided by local authorities and private entities, and these can be combined with state-funded scholarships.
