The government has confirmed that social scholarships for students will continue throughout the year, including during holidays. Merit and technological scholarships will be awarded during school terms and specific exam preparation periods. The framework methodology outlines the amounts and conditions for these scholarships, including 450 lei/month for merit scholarships and 300 lei/month for social and technological scholarships. Additionally, support is provided for minor mothers returning to education. The measures aim to reward academic performance and support disadvantaged students to prevent school dropout. The legal basis for these scholarships is established in the education law effective from September 2025.
