Bursa SAB 2026 și-a ales câștigătorul. Hyperion, mașina solară de 120 km/h construită de studenții din Cluj, primește 5.000 de euro

A solar vehicle developed by students from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca won the SAB 2026 Scholarship. The SOLIS Hyperion can reach speeds of 120 km/h and was tested in extreme conditions over nearly 2,700 kilometers in Australia. The award of 5,000 euros was presented on October 9 at the Bucharest Auto Salon. The SAB Scholarship is a national competition focused on intelligent mobility for a greener future, rewarding projects aimed at efficient transport and reduced energy consumption. Hyperion is the latest generation of the SOLIS project, involving over 40 students in various engineering fields. The vehicle features 5.89 square meters of solar panels and faced challenges such as battery management issues during the race. The competition serves as a platform for developing energy-efficient vehicles and sustainable transport solutions.
