The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, rose by 32.93% in the first half of the year, with all local indices showing positive trends. Trading activity also saw growth, with a total value of 26.26 billion lei, up 29.28% year-on-year. Despite a challenging macroeconomic environment, including stagnant GDP and high inflation at 9.2%, investor interest and market activity remained strong. The ASF notes that future prospects will be influenced by domestic and international economic developments and geopolitical uncertainties.
