Bunuri contrafăcute de peste 860.000 lei descoperite în bagajele unor cetăţeni români şi turci, la vamă

Over 2,700 suspected counterfeit products worth approximately 864,000 lei were found by border police in Giurgiu during checks on buses traveling from Turkey to Romania. The operation took place on August 26-27, targeting regular passenger transport. The discovered items included clothing, footwear, leather goods, and perfumes, all bearing protected brand names. Passengers, including Romanian and Turkish citizens aged 20 to 55, could not provide legal documentation for the goods. The items were seized for further investigation, and legal actions are being considered against those involved for trademark infringement. The Giurgiu Border Police continue to work with partners to combat illegal activities and protect intellectual property rights.
