Bulgaria taie producția de energie nucleară din cauza debitului scăzut al Dunării
Bulgaria has reduced the capacity of one of its nuclear reactors at Kozloduy by 120 MW due to low Danube water levels, a preventive measure amid a regional energy crisis. This reduction, the first in 52 years, is a response to extreme heat and drought affecting Southeast Europe. Romania, facing its own energy challenges, has relied on Bulgarian electricity exports, but this cut adds pressure to energy availability. Despite the reduction, Bulgarian authorities assure that they have sufficient alternative generation capacity to meet domestic demand. Similar issues have arisen in Hungary and Serbia due to low water levels.
