Bulgaria suspendă studiul pentru coridorul feroviar Dunăre - Egee din cauza unor „defecte critice”

The National Railway Infrastructure Company (NRIC) has canceled the public procurement for feasibility studies of a future railway corridor from the Danube to the Aegean Sea due to critical defects and contradictions in its specifications. Issues included inadmissible routes through protected areas and lack of secured funding. The decision, published on July 17, also led to the dismissal of the former director and the appointment of a new one. NRIC highlighted that continuing the procurement without guaranteed resources would be financially irresponsible. The cancellation does not reject the corridor idea but halts the specific procurement process, requiring a revised technical specification for any future attempts.
