Bulgaria ridică un dig de 300 de metri pe Dunăre ca să-și salveze centrala nucleară de la Kozlodui

Bulgaria plans to build a dam on the Danube near the Kozloduy nuclear power plant to ensure its operation amid low water levels. Energy Minister Iva Petrova announced that the dam will be 250 to 300 meters long, with construction expected to take 10-15 days. Preliminary studies for various solutions have been completed, including the possibility of using internal reservoirs for water supply. Despite the challenges, Kozloduy remains operational, producing more energy than it consumes. The plant's design allows it to function effectively even during droughts, unlike other regional plants that have shut down.
