Bulgaria pregătește aderarea la o inițiativă NATO împotriva dronelor, pentru care va plăti anual 220.000 de euro

Bulgaria plans to join a NATO initiative for air defense against drones and low-altitude threats by the end of October. Defense Minister Dimitar Stoianov announced this during a parliamentary session discussing recent drone attacks on commercial ships in the Black Sea. The annual contribution for Bulgaria is estimated at €220,000, which the Ministry of Defense believes is manageable. Bulgaria is already part of the NATO Drone Edge program and intends to invest €80 million in acquiring 20 anti-drone systems. Recent drone attacks have raised concerns about maritime security, prompting Bulgaria to seek international support for airspace monitoring.
