The Bulgarian Parliament has approved a proposal allowing the U.S. military to use an airbase for operations in the Middle East, despite Iranian warnings. The decision permits the stationing of up to eight American tanker aircraft at Bezmer airbase, located southeast of Sofia. Iran had previously cautioned Bulgaria against facilitating U.S. military actions, equating it to complicity in aggression. Bulgarian officials assert that the presence of U.S. aircraft does not imply involvement in the conflict. This move follows previous instances of U.S. aircraft being hosted in Bulgaria.
