Bulgaria majorează pragul sărăciei la 443 de euro
Bulgaria's poverty threshold will rise to 443 euros monthly starting January 2027, affecting 1.37 million citizens. The increase of 13.4% will enhance various social support measures. The Ministry of Labor anticipates a need for an additional 94 million euros in the 2027 budget to accommodate this change. While the new threshold is lower than union demands, it is expected to reduce the poverty rate slightly. In contrast, Romania's relative poverty threshold is calculated based on income and will be set for 2026 after data collection.
