Bulgaria este noua campioană la stocarea de energie

Bulgaria has emerged as a leader in energy storage in Europe, driven by solar energy expansion and significant EU funding. Despite political instability, the country has modernized its energy system, achieving a storage capacity of over 4,800 megawatts by mid-2026. The government’s RESTORE program has facilitated numerous projects, enhancing Bulgaria's energy independence compared to neighboring countries, which increasingly rely on imports. The rapid growth of solar energy has highlighted the need for effective storage solutions, with Bulgaria's installed solar capacity exceeding 6.5 gigawatts. In contrast, Romania and Hungary face challenges in energy supply, with Romania becoming a net importer since 2019.
