Bulgaria devine lider mondial în domeniul stocării energiei în baterii
Bulgaria has emerged as a leading global market for battery energy storage, with a projected capacity to transfer 77% of its new daily solar energy production during non-sunny hours by 2025. This rapid growth, supported by government funding and simplified authorization processes, has seen the country's battery storage capacity increase significantly, reaching 8.6 GWh by mid-2026. The integration of solar energy and battery storage is transforming Bulgaria's electricity system, allowing solar to meet nearly a quarter of evening demand. However, the EU as a whole lags behind in battery storage capacity compared to top markets. The report highlights the global expansion of solar energy and the decreasing costs of battery systems, which are reshaping electricity networks worldwide.
