Solar energy, combined with battery storage, is beginning to meet evening electricity demand, covering 24% of the country's needs during peak hours. However, the EU as a whole lags behind in battery storage capacity compared to top markets. The report highlights the significant transformation in Bulgaria's energy landscape, driven by advancements in battery technology and decreasing costs.
