Bulgaria plans to acquire over 10 anti-drone systems through the SAFE program to enhance security for critical infrastructure. Prime Minister Rumen Radev discussed the need for additional funding with high-ranking officials, including the Defense Minister and security agency heads. The Defense Ministry has submitted a report requesting funds for these systems and modern surveillance equipment. Negotiations are ongoing, aiming for contracts to be signed by year-end, with systems expected to be operational next year. The Interior Minister highlighted the need for anti-drone protection along the Bulgarian coastline and border with Turkey.
