Bulgarian Defense Minister Dimitar Stoianov is awaiting confirmation from Ukraine regarding a drone that exploded near the border. The drone, identified as a Ukrainian-made 'Maya', entered Bulgaria from Romania and detonated shortly after. Investigators have not retrieved flight coordinates from the GPS module, which was found but lacks crucial data. Stoianov emphasized the need for specialized detection systems for small drones, as neither Bulgarian nor Romanian air defense systems detected the drone before the incident. The Bulgarian government is negotiating the purchase of such systems.
