The Kozloduy nuclear power plant in Bulgaria is gradually returning to normal electricity production capacity after a reduction due to low Danube water levels. One reactor is now operating at nearly full capacity, while the other is at maximum output. The plant supplies about one-third of Bulgaria's electricity needs. Romania's Cernavodă plant remains offline due to similar water level issues. Recent increases in the Danube's water level near Ruse have allowed Kozloduy to resume normal operations.
