Bulgarian authorities arrested 22 individuals linked to a human trafficking network facilitating illegal migration from Turkey to the EU via Romania. The operation, conducted in Sofia, aimed to dismantle the organized crime group. Four residences were identified as hiding places for migrants from Iran, Syria, and Iraq, who were awaiting transport. Evidence seized included mobile phones, SIM cards, and rental contracts. Seven charges were filed against the group's leader and accomplices, with some already having prior arrests for similar offenses.
