The RO Wallet, Romania's digital identity wallet, shows high interest among survey participants, with 95% willing to use the app. The survey, conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, revealed that 96% want a digital ID card, 94% a driving license, and 92% a health card. Security concerns are paramount, with 84% wanting a history of data checks and 80% preferring biometric unlocking. The first testing phase starts on October 31, 2026, with further stages planned for 2027. RO Wallet aims to provide secure document management for citizens, allowing use both in Romania and the EU.
