Bugetul UE 2028-2034 ar putea fi redus la 1.600 de miliarde de euro

The EU's long-term budget for 2028-2034 is proposed to be 8% lower than the €2 trillion suggested by the European Commission, amounting to €1.6 trillion. This budget will be crucial for negotiations among member states, particularly for Romania, which advocates for sustained funding in cohesion and agricultural policies. The Romanian government emphasizes the importance of this budget for infrastructure, agriculture, and regional development investments. Additionally, Romania supports funding for EU defense capabilities, especially in the eastern flank and the Black Sea region, while also aiming to enhance the competitiveness of the European economy and reduce dependency on external states for energy and advanced technologies.
